A zero-player idle RPG with the build depth of a hands-on one. Enroll from 12 folk, 12 trades and 12 origins, grow a signature ability with every kill, sign a 2,110-clause Long skill tree, then watch it fight real d20 combat by itself. Two complete adventures, 179 illustrated beasts.

Lowmoor is a zero-player role-playing game in the spirit of Progress Quest, and it runs inside a period desktop. You choose one of 12 folk, 12 trades and 12 origins, sign the Roll, and the adventurer takes the road. From there the game hunts, ranks up, casts, sells, re-equips and descends on its own. You shape the plan: the Long Charter of 2,110 skills, the standing orders for equipment, the feats and the oath, and the sealed letters that arrive from the Guild and are answered on a d20.
It descends from a joke, but the fight underneath is real, with attack rolls, damage dice and saving throws, and 98 of the 179 statblocks taken off the SRD 5.1. The window also gets out of the way. Choose Fold and the game becomes a 560-pixel strip that stays above other work, with the chronicle still running.
That is what the Guild issues you at the top of the stair, and the game keeps that tone all the way down: sealed letters answered on a d20, a pet that is a housebroken chest, 179 beasts with hand-inked plates, and a memorial wall in Mereward for the ones who did not come back.
The Mourning Vale alone is charted at about 400 hours to its hall, and it is one of two modules; the Maw runs 30 floors across five arcs. Six endings sit between them, the season that follows a module carries the collections forward into the next run, and the game has taken a named update most weeks since launch.
Four named kit slots improve themselves across six rarity bands and 20 material tiers, and 51 cantrips and tricks fire on their own. The automation can be switched piece by piece or turned off for full Manual mode. The player's work is the Long Charter and its 2,110 clauses. The away time is a hire as well. The Night Clerk sits an hour later for every level he is raised, taking the Guild's four hours up to a day.
The old zero-player joke, built out into a finished RPG and written in the voice of a 1981 adventure module. It runs on a period desktop, and there are three to choose between: Windows 98, GNOME 1 and Mac OS 8.
LilChill Games is me, Kamil. I do the design, the code and the prose. Lowmoor reached Steam on 7 August 2026 and has taken a named update most weeks since.
Everything here is free to use in coverage of the game. Click any file below and you get it at full size. If you would rather have the lot in one archive, ask me and I will send it.
This is the module set that stands on the store today. Nothing older should be used.

Ten minutes is enough to see what it is. Enrol an adventurer, open the Long Charter and the bestiary, then hit Fold and the whole game shrinks to a strip beside whatever else you are doing. Come back to it for loot, a new plate or a sealed letter, and on stream let chat answer the letters.
If you would rather poke at a late-game chronicle than start from nothing, mail me and I will send you an exported save.
